WIKAIKON Collaborates with WIKA Group and Gen Z Waste Bank in a Beach Clean-Up at Carita Beach, Banten

Carita, Banten – PT Wijaya Karya Industri & Konstruksi (WIKAIKON), through its Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) Team, collaborated with WIKA Group and the Gen Z Waste Bank to carry out a Beach Clean-Up at Pagedongan Beach, Carita, Banten. (29/08)
This environmental initiative aimed not only to reduce marine pollution but also to foster collective awareness of the importance of maintaining coastal cleanliness. The TJSL WIKAIKON team, together with employees from various WIKA Group entities, worked hand in hand to clean the beach area from various types of waste, which were then separated into organic and non-organic categories.
Organic waste was directed to be processed into compost, while non-organic waste was channeled through the Gen Z Waste Bank for further processing so it could be reused in accordance with the principle of Recycle – Make – Use.
Beyond the beach cleaning activity, the program also featured a waste management education session, the symbolic handover of donations, as well as the transportation of the collected waste.
A representative of WIKAIKON’s TJSL team emphasized that this initiative reflects the company’s commitment to supporting the implementation of sustainability principles (Environmental, Social, and Governance/ESG) in every aspect of its operations:
“This collaboration marks a tangible step by WIKAIKON, together with WIKA Group and the Gen Z Waste Bank, to create a positive impact on the environment. We hope this activity will raise greater awareness of the importance of sustainable waste management, starting from simple actions such as sorting and recycling,” said the WIKAIKON TJSL representative.
Through this initiative, WIKAIKON reaffirms its role not only as an industrial manufacturer and constructor, but also as a socially responsible company that is committed to environmental sustainability.
