WIKAIKON with PT Amanah Bersama Agro Holds TJSL Workshop: Smart Ways for Young People to Farm with an ESG Approach

WIKAIKON demonstrated its commitment to supporting social and environmental responsibility by holding a TJSL (Social and Environmental Responsibility) Workshop in collaboration with PT Amanah Bersama Agro, Qurban Cattle Farming Division. The event, themed “Smart Ways for Young People to Farm,” was held at AB Sport Pabuaran, Jatisampurna, Bekasi, West Java. (29/05)
This workshop is a tangible form of WIKAIKON’s efforts to provide insights and knowledge to WIKAIKON personnel regarding sustainable and responsible farming practices. By embracing the concept of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG), the event aims to help participants understand how to manage farming businesses that are not only economically profitable but also positively impact the environment and surrounding communities.
As a company engaged in the industrial and construction sectors, WIKAIKON fully understands the importance of integrating sustainability principles into various aspects of its business, including social activities that directly affect people’s lives. Through collaboration with PT Amanah Bersama Agro, which has expertise in Qurban cattle farming, WIKAIKON hopes to make a positive contribution and raise awareness about the importance of sustainability among employees and stakeholders.
The workshop began with presentations from expert speakers proficient in the field of livestock farming. They shared insights on environmentally friendly farming methods, livestock waste management, and how to ensure animal welfare. In addition, the social aspect was emphasized, focusing on the importance of empowering local communities and fostering harmonious relationships between farmers and surrounding communities.
The governance session discussed how to run farming businesses with transparency, accountability, and compliance with applicable regulations. This is crucial to ensure that farming enterprises are not only profit-oriented but also guarantee long-term sustainability and public trust.
Besides the learning sessions, the workshop also featured interactive discussions that actively involved participants to share their experiences, challenges, and solutions related to their farming activities or plans. Moreover, participants conducted a direct visit to the Qurban cattle farm owned by PT Amanah Bersama Agro to observe firsthand the application of sustainable and environmentally friendly farming practices. This activity provided valuable real-world experience for participants in understanding effective and responsible farm management.
WIKAIKON believes that empowering the younger generation through proper education is key to realizing sustainable farming that positively contributes to both the environment and society. With increased knowledge and awareness, WIKAIKON personnel are expected to become agents of change who promote responsible and sustainable business practices.
This activity is also part of WIKAIKON’s efforts to fulfill its TJSL commitments as a concrete form of the company’s social contribution towards sustainable development. Through programs like this workshop, WIKAIKON demonstrates that social and environmental responsibility is not just a slogan but a consistent, real action.
"At WIKAIKON, we believe that social and environmental responsibility is the foundation of our company’s sustainability. Through this workshop, we want to inspire the younger generation to run farming businesses with smart and sustainable approaches. By integrating ESG principles, we not only contribute to economic growth but also maintain ecosystem balance and community welfare. We hope this activity becomes an initial step that drives positive change in the livestock industry and social environment in Indonesia." Mr. Tri said.
With the successful implementation of this TJSL Workshop, WIKAIKON hopes to inspire more parties, especially the younger generation, to participate in farming businesses that are not only economically profitable but also environmentally friendly and beneficial to social communities.
