Online Safety Patrol at Tiga Dihaji Dam Construction Project Package 1: WIKAIKONs Ongoing Commitment to Fostering a Strong Safety Culture

Jakarta, August 6, 2025 – PT Wijaya Karya Industri & Konstruksi (WIKAIKON) once again demonstrated its commitment to building a strong Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) culture through the implementation of an Online Safety Patrol via Zoom Meeting at the Tiga Dihaji Dam Construction Project Package 1 on Wednesday, August 6, 2025.
This activity was led directly by President Director of WIKAIKON, Mr. Tri Prabowo, along with the Quality, Safety, Health, and Environment (QSHE) Bureau, as part of the company’s continuous effort to ensure the consistent and comprehensive implementation of safety standards across all work sites.
The Online Safety Patrol is not a new initiative. It has proven to be an effective and efficient method for quickly identifying potential hazards, enhancing compliance with safety procedures on-site, and making a significant impact on overall project safety performance. Given its success, the program continues to be implemented as part of WIKAIKON’s digital supervision strategy in this era of industrial transformation.
“Safety is a culture that must be embedded at every level of the organization. By leveraging technology, we remain close to the field and can ensure that safety standards are upheld anytime and anywhere,” said Mr. Tri Prabowo in his opening remarks.
During the session, the President Director and the QSHE team conducted a virtual inspection of several critical areas within the project site, including work zones, the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and aspects of cleanliness and order (housekeeping). The activity also served as a platform for direct communication between central management and the project team, allowing for open discussion of field challenges and opportunities for improvement.
As the session concluded, Mr. Tri Prabowo emphasized that a strong safety culture is built through consistency in executing fundamental aspects—starting from well-planned SHE budgeting, applying the 5S principles as a reflection of professionalism, honest near-miss reporting as a form of integrity, and establishing standardized workspaces that support safety and productivity. These elements are a clear manifestation of the company’s commitment to creating safe, orderly, and sustainable working environments.
This initiative is also aligned with WIKAIKON’s transformation agenda toward becoming an adaptive, efficient, and future-oriented company—by embracing Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles as the foundation of sustainability across all operations.
