WIKAIKON Contribution to the Procurement of Suspension Bridges to Support Regional Infrastructure
Kalimantan – PT Wijaya Karya Industri & Konstruksi (WIKAIKON) has officially signed a cooperation contract with the Ministry of Public Works for the procurement of suspension bridge products to be constructed in various areas across West Kalimantan Province. (12/12)
This collaboration represents a strategic step to improve accessibility, strengthen connectivity, and support the equitable development of infrastructure in regions requiring more adequate transportation facilities.
The contract signing ceremony was carried out by Mr. Tri Prabowo, Acting President Director of WIKAIKON, together with representatives of the Ministry of Public Works for the West Kalimantan region. Under this contract, WIKAIKON will supply five suspension bridge units, consisting of two units with 60-meter spans, one unit with an 80-meter span, one unit with a 100-meter span, and one unit with a 120-meter span.
The procurement of this infrastructure is expected to enhance community mobility, facilitate the distribution of goods and public services, and improve the overall quality of inter-regional connectivity throughout West Kalimantan Province. The presence of these suspension bridges also forms part of efforts to strengthen regional development in line with government programs aimed at advancing areas with limited access.
This collaboration between WIKAIKON and the Ministry of Public Works reflects the commitment of both parties to delivering reliable, safe, and sustainable infrastructure to meet community needs and support economic growth in West Kalimantan Province.
